MODERNISM APARTMENT IN MEŽAPARKS

Apartment is located in new residential building in Mežaparks – historical district of Riga. Concrete ceiling has been exposed after demolishing standard grey finish – typical to modern housing projects. Transparent wall with integrated fireplace and wardrobe is the main spatial element, which helps to perceive the apartment as a single entity and brings daylight in every room. The creation of apartment has been like cooperation between function, technology and artistic finishing, while looking for new identity of modernism.
